5 hrs at pyramid
finally met up with 2 PM10 gals today..
it has been like 6 months since i saw most of them..
like since prom! just a day before National Service.. oh my..
Ee Ching and Eu Nee, thank you so much for coming!
our final college day as a class.. only part of PM10 is in here! =Pi called the rest but they were quite pre-occupied..
classes, out-of-town trips and self-grounded for over-spending!
you know who you are.. haha..
anyway, you know i miss you gals (and guy) a lot!!!
ok, so yeah.. today we were at Sunway Pyramid..
did a little catching up and watched a movie!
YES is the new "no".. haha..
attending the seminar that changed his life..
one day i'll do the bungee jump too! mark my word.. =Dthe preview.. you can catch this movie in the cinemas!
after that was lunch at Delifrance..
it took quite a while to make that decision..
reminds us of college days at Subang!
Asia Cafe, Peppercorn, Uncle Seng, market, Casamia etc? =)
up next is the most challenging part of the day..
shopping for a GUY's present..
i can tell you it's just utterly ridiculous and difficult!
so Melvin, if you ever read this.. be thankful! haha..
since i bought his present from Parkson..
obviously i get free wrapping service from there as well..
so we went to the Customer Service centre..
i wanted the 2 items to be wrapped in a bag..
*and long story cut short*
the guy wrapped both items separately!
and i was like " i thought i told you to wrap it together?"
the poor guy stared at me with a blank face for 1/2 minute!
since i thought he was kinda cute.. no, like seriously..
tall, dark and handsome.. get the picture? Indian though..
and he was still looking blankly..
so instead of firing at him.. i went like..
"do you have a ribbon or something to tie it up?"
he pointed to shelves and said "over there.."
and the Malay lady next to him added "but need to pay.."
for the few cm of ribbon i need to buy the entire roll..
plus it's another rm7.. so no way, no way!
while we were leaving.. the cute guy apologised.. thrice!
and i forgave him of cos.. reasons?
one, he lined up at the counter to pay for the wrapper..
with my money la.. i doubt he's a Yes Man.. =P
two, the wrapping also not bad.. three, he's cute!
so yadda, yadda.. that's about it.. no pictures! hehe..

oh my freaking goodness!
you just have to imagine how jolly i was yesterday!
the news was like heaven to me..
and no, i am not exaggerating.. =D
even the potential student who came in was saying
"no wonder you are so joyful out of a sudden!"
no doubt~ muahaha!
was supposed to be my last working day yesterday..
but Ms May Kuan, my temporary boss asked me to stay on..
so i am going to work till this coming Tuesday..
and i am going to take a break.. i really need one!
this was what May Kuan gave to persuade me.. so funny~i have been sick since Wednesday, i think..
it has been ages since i suffered this much..
it started with sore throat, then cough and now flu..
my voice is like basically cracking already..
i talk like a man now.. =____=
so i hope i get well before Sunday!
anyway, since i was in such a good mood..
i paid a quarter of the bill for our dinner at The Ship..
there were like 13 of us.. so i was being really generous! =)
it's not payday for me yet..
since i have not submitted my time sheet this month..

of birthday and henna!
Hui Ting has turned 18!!! like finally~i know it's a little late.. but better late than never!
we went for her party which was held at the park..
ok, may be it's a playground.. right behind her house!
there were a few of us with loads of food.. haha..
sandwiches, buns, pizza, fruits etc..
among them.. cupcakes! yummy and fattening.. =P
or a healthier option.. fruit tarts! hehe..
the party table.. slightly messy..

Twilight and Education Fair
on Friday, we had to buy tickets for the only seats left..
yes, the entire first row from the screen was ours..
just imagine how desperate we were to watch Twilight!
i thank God it's in Cathay Cineplex and not TGV or GSC.. =)
watching Twilight was my idea.. hehe..i haven't read the book yet though.. just in case..
people say usually the movies are not as good as the book!
but my main reason of watching this was because of
Robert Pattinson! don't know him?
he's the main actor Edward Cullen.. *swoons*
do you recall Cedric Diggory from the Harry Potter films?
yes, the hot guy who started the dance with Cho Chang..
and eventually got killed by Lord Voldermort..made me cry for so long during the movie ! T___T
the cast.. his entire family are vegetarian vampires!
he's extremely fast and can even fly!
Edward brings Bella to lovely places..
and even on the tree top! how romantic is that?
the stupid thing is Malaysian cinemas cut off this part! ishh..
there were also some action scences.. quite nice!
and it has a happy ending for now.. can't wait for the sequel!catch the preview of Twilight.. still in the cinemas..
on Saturday, i had to work! first time ever..
during the Facon Education Fair held in PWTC..
it was definitely a great experience..
i had to drive all the way to IMU and take the Star LRT..
entire journey was around 80 minutes?
reached just 10 minutes before the fair started..
basically i was standing for 6 hours..
supposedly, my job is just to collect application forms,
get everything done for walk-in interviews,
add extra brochures and water once emptied,
clear tables for the next customer
and get counselors or lecturers to do enquiries..
admission work.. just as easy as that!
but eventually, those counselors and lecturers face problems!
and i have to help them.. it was like "Meng Yean! come here.."
so here and there, up and down, left and right..
at peak periods, i have to do the course enquiries too..
so is like non-stop moving and talking.. wow!
and the best part is?
i survived with just 1 granola bar and 3 cups of water..
and 30 minutes of sitting and 1 toilet break after the fair!
even i myself cannot believe how work-driven i am.. =P

happening Thursday!
seriously, i had all the fun today..
like i have to spell out the fun!!! F.U.N. *lame*
from exhausting walks up and down the building..
shoulder-ache from carrying files and chairs..
a dry throat which still stays despite drinking lots of water,
i suspect it is from my ajinomoto-filled lunch..
to head-hunting for potential good-looking people
and a hell lot of laughter..
as usual, the day of the week which interviews go on..
peak period usually starts after lunch till round 3-ish?
anyway, surprisingly.. it was kinda kelam-kabut today!
cos like 6 interviewees didn't turn up? God knows why..
it's like lecturers calling us, we call the students..
students don't pick up, very panicky feeling i tell you..
and at a few occasions students turn up in a blue!
situation was berserk and disastrous.. but fun... haha..
i saw quite a few good-for-the-eyes guys today.. for a record!
a taller-and-biggger-built-than-me white South African,
a Sri Lankan with light make-up to cover his pimples,
a Malay-Chinese mixed with good accent and smile,
and a teddy bear-like smooth and rosy cheeks Korean.. =D
my job is usually to register the interviewees..
i spoke to the rest of the people except one..
i didn't get to speak to the South African..
as his situation is a lil more complicated than the usuals..
his first impression was terrible to me, cos he was sooo red!
i was disappointed cos he don't look like what i expected..
his picture in the passport is like a film star!
but then the next time we met, i thought he looked good..
Shien Ni and Felicia thinks that i have hormone imbalance..
cos they say he looked exactly like the first time they saw!
before he left after 30 minutes sitting right in front of me,
which i accidently-on-purpose snapped a picture of him.. =P
he said thank you, smiled and waved goodbye to me!
*oh! the heat wave.. swoons*
the Sri Lankan had a name which don't match his looks..
the Malaysian was half asleep when i called him last week!
the Korean is the one i mentioned in my earlier post,
his brother with the nice voice came along too..
they both don't look alike, but the latter looks familiar..
just like Jonghyun from Korean boyband SHINee! no joke..
the rest were all nice and smiling..
still no sign of nervousness yet!
i mean, they have to ma.. just in case i dislike them..
and direct them to the wrong room.. muahaha..
but i am not that mean la.. i am very nice.. *agree?*
i don't jeopardize other people's chances! =)
so yaddaa, yaddaa.. long story cut short.. =P
up next is the outside-the-toilet incident.. don't laugh ah~
Felicia was like having her own sweet time in the toilet..
Shien Ni and i were waiting for quite a while,
so we decided to scare her again.. *evil plan*
the last time we tried, we failed ma..
but i was determined that it'll succeed this time round..
i stood directly next to the toilet door, not behind the wall!
i saw a reflection on the toilet wall so i was prepared..
reflection was getting closer and closer.. *ready 1,2..*
and i put my hand out at the door!
the sound "WHOAAA~~~" greeted me at that exact moment..
it didn't come from Felicia but an Indian guy!
i said "Ooopsss.." and started laughing..
he was definitely caught by surprise..
and he laughed all the way along the corridor!
i was trying very hard to control my laughter leh..
until i forgot to say sorry to him.. how embarassing!
Shien Ni followed the suit when she saw the guy walking..
luckily Shien Ni hid at the next corner..
or he'll think i am stalking him outside the toilet! =____=
and so i waited for Felicia and managed to scare her.. haha..
we related the encounter to her and i blamed her for it..
we had a freaking good laugh about it..
like really.. until 10 minutes after we sat in the car!
how can a Thursday be any better??!! XD

korean food!
last night, i had my first taste of Korean BBQ dinner!
cousin Creamy's mum treated us at Arisu.. *yum yum*
the moment i opened the menu.. i saw this..
and this.. i would literally cried if i were paying.. =Pbut i think we didn't order those sets..
instead we chose the ala carte if i remembered correctly!
we were served with cold towels before the meal..isn't it supposed to be hot so that can kill bacteria?
then the waiters and waitresses started serving appetizers..
the vegetable was like sweet, sour and bitter!
the table setting before us..i was amazed how slim the chopsticks were..
like one Chinese chopsticks karate-chopped into half!
and then our drinks were served..
green tea, not Koren tea, served in Carlsberg glasses..
then out came our dishes..the tiny dishes can be refilled as many times as we can eat..
they were very generous with the portions..
but you must finish every bit of food or they won't refill..
so we were basically gobbling down everything.. haha..
the waiter cutting pork into pieces.. next to it is an onion!
the yummylicious egg which is free..
lamb in the process of being barbecued..
chicken! so big piece..
so it had to be cut for it to be cooked easily..
kimchi soup.. pretty healthy..*slurps*and i can assure you that it taste way better than kimchi!
do my cousin and my niece look like Koreans? XD
i made him pose with the kimchi to promote it..cos he has a Korean-inspired haircut! haha..
for people like me, who usually eats a lot..
don't look down upon those small portions of food served..
the meal was actually quite filling.. =)

p/p/s: i hope they don't serve kimchi every meal in Korea!
